Archbishop of 'Robin Hood Tax' Canterbury Backs Banks

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Rowan Williams, has thrown its weight behind the protest in San Pablo Occupy saying that society is paying for the "mistakes and irresponsibility" of the banks. His intervention comes in the wake of another resignation at the Cathedral of protesters camped outside if you should be evicted.

In an article for the Financial Times, Dr Rowan Williams said that the banking sector has refused to reform their practices and not to stop what he calls "the bonds still high."

He made the comments after a day of high drama that saw the cathedral to announce that no legal action against the protesters, who have been on the threshold of the historic landmark for more than two weeks.
